Payment information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers (Paystation) database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

What can a Housesitter view of a Homeowner's information

Once a Homeowner registers and lists their housesit on housesitters.co.nz a housesitter is able to see information regarding the street name (but not street number), suburb and city of the housesit along with the description of the property supplied by the Homeowner. The Housesitter may also view information regarding the Homeowners pets and any Housesitter preferences specified by the Homeowner. A Homeowner can see what information is viewable to Housesitters by going to their listing information when logged into their account at housesitters.co.nz.

What can a Homeowner view of a Housesitter's information

Once a Housesitter registers and applies for a housesit on housesitters.co.nz the Homeowner who listed the housesit may see their name, date of birth, contact details, references, photographs, introductory brief and work hours. A Housesitter can see what gets sent to the Homeowner by using the Preview Profile button when logged into their account at housesitters.co.nz
